Sean has served as a trustee of Amici Bruerni since 2022, playing a key role in establishing the Bruern Abbey Bursary Foundation. Sean has two sons who attended Bruern Abbey Prep School and as a result Sean is deeply committed to ensuring the school’s exceptional support for neurodiverse boys is accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances. Sean is well known at the School for increasing the number of hens kept by the School and collecting snowdrops from the wonderful Victorian planted drift in the woods. He also likes to avoid dress codes and sees no reason why black tie cannot mean inflatable dinosaur or why Bermuda shorts cannot be worn to Church.
Professionally, Sean is a partner at the international law firm K&L Gates, where he specializes in advising corporate trustees on complex structured finance and debt capital markets transactions. Sean has a B.A. and LL.B. from The University of New South Wales and an LL.M. from King’s College, Cambridge. He was brought up in Australia and has studied in the UK and Finland and worked in Sydney, Tokyo and London. Sean also has ADHD.
