Mike Wright
Role: Trustee
Mike is the founder of Yellow Be Ltd, a firm specializing in bespoke software development and application management for banking and investment clients. With over two decades of experience in financial technology, digital strategy, and IT architecture, Mike has worked extensively in market integrations, portfolio and ledger accounting platforms, and mission-critical systems that support retail and institutional trading, savings, and investment activities. Previously, Mike served as Chief Digital Officer at Karri Payments and Ashburton Investments. Outside of his trustee role, Mike also advises a technology led NGO that delivers learning software to 250k underprivileged pupils in South Africa, having built the delivery platform. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Business/Management from Stellenbosch University and is currently studying for the Oxford Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business at the University of Oxford.
Mike’s son, Matthew, is in his final year at Bruern Abbey Prep, having joined at the start of 2022. Mike became a trustee at the start of the academic year in 2023. As a trustee of Amici Bruerni, he brings expertise in technology transformation, strategic IT oversight, and business efficiency, supporting the charity’s digital and operational needs. His commitment to education and community engagement aligns with the charity’s mission to broaden access and opportunities.
