Amici Bruerni

Helen Speroni

Role: Co-Chair

Helen joined Amici Bruerni in 2021 when Tom joined Barn Owls. Now serving as co-chair, Helen is deeply committed to guiding AB through its next phase of development.

She brings organisational and management expertise from her careers in corporate identity branding and as an architect, holding qualifications including RIBA, Dip Arch, BA Hons Arch, and BA Hons Interior Arch. Although a teaching career was cut short due to surgery, her passion for education remains evident in her dedication to AB’s mission.

Helen’s own schooling was made harder by undiagnosed dyslexia and ADHD, so she fully supports Bruern’s attention to expert teaching in small classes allowing every child to thrive.

Her twenty years of volunteer work with her children’s schools’ PTAs has honed her skills in stakeholder engagement and organising large events, which currently benefit AB. She balances her trustee responsibilities with the restoration of a Georgian private residence in Hertfordshire and family commitments in Poole, Dorset.

Together with her fellow trustees, Helen is working to strengthen AB’s community impact. Her perspective as a parent, her creative problem-solving skills, energy, drive, and practical approach will help guide AB’s growth and development.

A core vision shared by Helen and all trustees is expanding the bursary program to ensure boys from all backgrounds can experience the transformative education that Bruern offers.
