Siobhan has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2021 and currently serves as Co-Chair. Her son Xavier was a pupil at Bruern from 2018-2023.
Professionally, Siobhan works as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Imperial NHS Healthcare Trust and Kersley Eye Clinic London, specializing in Paediatrics. She holds a Master of Business Studies (MBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth). In her professional roles, she manages complex issues regarding safeguarding and oversees the running of a busy emergency and elective service, as well as governance and strategy.
Siobhan serves on the Ophthalmology section of the Royal Society of Medicine and on the panel of assessors for visually impaired Paralympians.
As a mother of a child with specific learning difficulties, she understands the difference a school like Bruern has made to countless children in similar situations. She recognizes the importance of having a unique environment where children can thrive, find their strengths, and be part of a community of mutual respect and support.
She is engaged in supporting the staff, who work tirelessly, to find creative ways to support the children.
Siobhan believes in strengthening the network of parents to support each other and promote the school.
