Clare McKeon

Role: Trustee

Clare is the mother of Alexander (13), who has attended Bruern Abbey School for years 5-8.

She is a Consultant in the Christie’s UK Chairman’s Office in London. Clare has over 25 years of experience at Christie’s, starting as a Victorian Picture Specialist before moving to New York to head the Sporting & British Art Department as a Vice President and trained as an Auctioneer. Since returning to London in 2016, she has been a consultant in the Chairman’s Office.

Clare has been actively involved in philanthropy for over 20 years. She has served as a Trustee of the American Federation of Arts for 18 years, including two terms as President of the Board, and currently serves on their Development and Governance Committees. While living in New York, she was on the Frick Museum’s Young Fellows Steering Committee for several years, Co-Chaired the Associates Committee of the charity New Yorkers for Children for two terms, and was a Trustee of the American Friends of Turquoise Mountain. More recently, she was a member of the host committee for the National Gallery Summer Party in 2022 and 2023.

Clare holds an MA Hons in Geography from Oxford University, an MA Hons in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, and a Diploma from the English Gardening School.

Clare is committed to helping Amici Bruerni, since joining in 2023, especially in it’s mission to enable children to attend Bruern Abbey and benefit from the same nurturing supportive environment that her son experienced.
